The results of a survey to collect data on maintenance costs for HVAC equipment/systems in office buildings are presented and discussed in this paper. This survey was sponsored by ASHRAE and conducted in cooperation with the Building Owners and Managers Association, International. The data-collection procedures are discussed, tabulations of the data are presented, and the results from an analysis of the factors affecting HVAC maintenance costs are discussed.
