About This Item
Full Description
The specific objective of the Advanced Customer Technology Test (ACT2 / ACTT) for Maximum Energy Efficiency is to provide scientific field test information on the maximum energy savings possible, at or below projected competitive costs, by using modern high-efficiency end-use technologies in integrated packages acceptable to the customer. The pilot demonstration is a 2050 m2 portion of a 13050 m2 office block in San Ramon, California. A design to maximise energy efficiency at the pilot demonstration site was installed during the summer of 1992, and commissioning began in early autumn 1992. Monitoring available for the commissioning process included the integral direct digital control (DDC) system, and short-term measurements used exclusively for commissioning. Energy-use monitoring was designed to aid the commissioning process.
