Full Description

The process of evaporative cooling has been used to improve human comfort conditions for many centuries. It remams one of the least expensive techniques for bringing high dry bulb temperatures (dbt) down to a more comfortable range. However the evaporative process adds moisture to the ambient air being treated. Will the added moisture prevent a net benefit? How can increased air motion be used to improve human comfort in specific factory work areas? The results of Research Project 116 sponsored in part by ASHRAE furnish some answers to these questions.
