Full Description

Built-up air conditioning systems present problems to the design engineer whose foremost consideration it generally is to fit the equipment into an available space and room configuration. He will have to apply good judgment to the expected performance of the equipment, since it is often used in a manner quite different from the industry standard testing arrangements. Even the engineer who is adept at juggling "paperdoll" fans and coils wonders what will be the outcome of a particular built-up arrangement. This study was initiated to aid in solving the problems associated with built-up air handling systems, in particular the blow-through dual duct systems; but the results are also applicable to other air handling systems.
