The Oregon Health& Science University Knight Cancer Research Building contains 100,000 ft2of laboratory space. Still, it achieved an EUI of 95 kBtu/ft2·yr for the firstyear of operation. It did so in part by using an innovative way to providemakeup air that increased ventilation in the offices and reduced reheat energyin the labs.
