This session provides an update on recent developments on ABSIM, which is an ASHRAE-sponsored Absorption System Simulator. An analysis of open-and-closed cycle absorption chillers using ABSIM is presented. The next seminar presents recent improvements on triple-effect absorption chillers and type-2 absorption heat pumps, which can generate high-grade heat unlike conventional heat pump systems.
