Uses numerical simulation to define the relationship of energy cost, peak demand and chiller size to glazing performance characteristics for five cooling-dominated climates in California. Discusses the cost-effectiveness of various material and installation retrofit options. Also gives glazing material improvements for retrofit applications to achieve a prescribed cost saving.
