About This Item

Full Description

This International Standard specifies an analytical method for determining the neptunium concentration in nitric acid solutions of nuclear reactor irradiated fuels, at different steps of the process in a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. The method is applicable to aliquots containing a mass of neptunium equal to at least 50 μg when the spectrophotometer used has an expanded scale reading (0,1 in optical density for the entire scale) or 500 μg of neptunium otherwise.
