HVAC systems in humid climates should be carefully designed to maintain humidity control. Current research papers that discussed the power consumption in HVAC systems have proved the significance of the humidity management for minimizing such consumption. Air dehumidifying is a process that consists in decreasing the contents of steam contained in the air. Air can be dehumidified in several ways: heating and ventilation, condensation dehumidifying, and adsorption dehumidifying. A new dehumidifier will be investigated in the current study by utilizing supersonic separation nozzle for delivering air to the interior zone at positive pressure as well as lower moisture load. The study will experimentally investigate the impact of the new dehumidifier on the load of the cooling coil. Instead of consuming a large amount of energy to cool the air, the separation supersonic nozzle would operate as a dehumidifier by less cost. After the dehumidification process, the temperature is anticipated to be lower than its value at the beginning of the process. Thus, reduce the cooling coil in the next process. The study will also examine different shapes of the nozzle to choose the most proper shape that possesses highest efficiency. The geometries under the inspection will be circler, rectangular, and triangular nozzles.
