Full Description

The purpose of this Standard is to specify the requirements, definitions, and testing method for measuring the electrical characteristics of uninterruptible power supplies. It is written in SI (metric) units. This Standard is considered suitable for use for conformity assessment within the stated scope of the Standard.

Scope

1.1 This Standard applies to uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). The primary function of the UPS covered by this Standard is to ensure continuity of an alternating power source. The uninterruptible power supplies can also serve to improve the quality of the power source by keeping it within specified characteristics.

1.2 This Standard is applicable to movable, stationary, fixed, and built-in UPS for distribution systems up to and including 600 V ac.
