Part 4 specifies requirements for clear text encoding for computer graphics metafile which provides a file format suitable for the storage and retrieval of picture information. The file format consists of a set of elements that can be used to describe pictures in a way that is compatible between systems of different architecture and devices of differing capabilities and design. This Standard is identical with ISO 8632-4:1987.
