Full Description

Specifies requirements for transport infant incubator labeling, safety and performance and establishes referee tests by which the requirements can be verified. Transport infant incubators are electrically powered devices that are intended to assist in maintaining the thermal balance of infants, have a self-contained electric power supply for use when an external supply is not available, and are suitable for transporting an infant inside and/or outside a hospital. For purposes of the standard, transport infant incubators are classified into air control temperature incubators (ATC) and infant temperature control incubators (ITC) on the basis of the temperature variable which is controlled.
