Full Description

Pope and Douglas Counties, Minnesota, broke ground in May 1986 for the construction of a 76 ton per day (TPD) incineration facility for disposal of municipal solid waste. The facility scheduled for commercial operation in March 1987 and consists of two completely independent trains each having a nominal capacity of 38 tons per day (1400 kg/h). Heat from the incineration of the waste is recovered in water-tube boilers and the resulting steam will be sold to two customers.
