Full Description

Reports on a field study investigating outside air delivery and thermal comfort in a normally operating variable air volume (VAV) system. States that in addition to finding that the outside air delivery and thermal comfort are generally acceptable under a variety of operating conditions, a number of diagnostic techniques were used to more fully understand VAV system operation and design. Concludes that unless a VAV system is well understood or continuously monitored, there is a high likelihood that unexpected system behaviour will affect outside air delivery and thermal comfort.
