BUT WITH FEW EXCEPTIONS, MANUFACTURING SOFTWARE FOR THE PC HAS BEEN STRUCTURED AFTER APPLICATIONS WRITTEN FOR LARGER SYSTEMS. AND, SOFTWARE FOR LARGER SYSTEMS HAS ROOTS IN OLDER TECHNOLOGIES, BEFORE COMPUTER GRAPHICS WERE AVAILABLE.
