Full Description

This product is a PDF that contains links to files that consist of PowerPoint slides synchronized with the audio-recording of the speaker (recorded presentation), PDF files of the slides, and audio only (mp3) as noted.

This session covers two different types of technologies, one of which is a large district heating and cooling (DHC) plant in Osaka. It covers 218,000 m2 of office buildings, shopping malls and railway stations, with an annual operating COP of 1.3, which is one of the highest in Japan. Another is a new type of gas engine heat pump with a power-generating function, to be operated independently when the power supply is shut off. This function is important for areas where the power supply might be shut down suddenly and/or intentionally.
