The 2013 version of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 is widely used by many state and government entities. Learn the background and development of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, its requirements and compliance paths, and how to understand and apply the requirements. Key updates for each of the major building systems will be discussed. This includes the HVAC system, lighting system, building envelope, service water heating, and power. You will learn key mandatory and prescriptive requirements applicable to each system, as well as whole-building compliance options. Case studies and in-class exercises are included as appendices to the classroom presentation. During the course, a number of examples are provided for how to improve building energy efficiency and save money.
