Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC International - 18th Edition, Revision 3

For 125 years AOAC INTERNATIONAL has been meeting the needs of analytical scientists for confidence in analytical results through the development and validation of AOAC® Official Methods. The Official Methods of Analysis is an international source of methods, with many countries and international organizations contributing their expertise to method validation. The Official Methods of Analysis is the most comprehensive and reliable collection of chemical and microbiological methods available in the world and are contained in many of the Codex food standards.

Edited by George Latimer (retired, Office of the Texas State Chemist), the 18th Edition, Revision 3, includes new and updated material since the last printing in 2007:

• 19 First Action Methods, with collaborative study references to the Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL
• About 30 methods approved as Final Action by the AOAC Official Methods Board (in addition, about 20 other methods now include Final Action dates)
• 12 Methods significantly revised/modified (about 50 other methods include minor editorial revisions)
• Two methods repealed (determined to be no longer relevant)
