Full Description

The use of Reynolds equations to calculate aerodynamic fields in ventilated areas requires knowledge of the turbulent characteristic of jets. Turbulent velocity pulsations, turbulent kinetic energy, and Reynolds stresses along with average velocity have been measured for the plane turbulent jet and reverse flow pattern formed below the jet. The experiments were carried out in a model. The results cover the Reynolds number range from 1,000 to 3,000. The turbulent parameters depend on the height of the model and the Reynolds number.
