1.1 This Standard Practice establishes general requirements for valves and fittings for use in silicone-free service requiring an increased level of cleanliness. Specific requirements include:

a) Cleaning

b) Assembly and Testing of Valves

c) Inspection and Acceptance

d) Packaging

e) Marking

Piping and flanges are outside the scope of this Standard Practice. However, flanges are covered only if they are integral to the valve or fitting.
