This paper presents a brief summary of the methodology, results, and conclusions of the comparative energy, economic, and reliability-evaluation of a co-generation plant located in Jersey City, NJ. This evaluation was performed by the National Bureau of Standards for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and covered the period from January 1974 through December 1977. Those elements of the valuation that are relevant today are particularly highlighted.
