Full Description

To update the tables on recommended rates of heat gain in the ASHRAE Handbook (ASHRAE 1981), data on commercial appliance and equipment heat gain characteristics were collected and analyzed. These data were collected on restaurant, hospital, and office equipment. Based on appliance input rating and appropriate adjustment factors, recommended rates of sensible and latent heat gain were determined for each equipment type. Tables with the recommended heat gains are presented in this research paper.
