Full Description

A building precooling operational strategy cools the building prior to peak demand periods to reduce space cooling loads during peak demand periods. This strategy is analogous to chilled-water or ice-based thermal energy storage approaches using the building’s thermal mass to store “coolness” instead of chilled water or ice.
