Preface:

This is the third edition of CSA ISO 9004, Quality management — Quality of an organization — Guidance to achieve sustained success, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 9004 (fourth edition, 2018-04). It supersedes the previous edition, published in 2009 as CAN/CSA-ISO 9004 (adopted ISO 9004:2009), Managing for the sustained success of an organization — A quality management approach.

This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.

Scope:

This document gives guidelines for enhancing an organization?s ability to achieve sustained success. This guidance is consistent with the quality management principles given in ISO 9000:2015.

This document provides a self-assessment tool to review the extent to which the organization has adopted the concepts in this document.

This document is applicable to any organization, regardless of its size, type and activity.
