This method assesses the fastness of the colour of textile materials to the action of perspiration. It is applicable to dyed, printed and otherwise coloured fibres, yarns and fabrics of all kinds.

In the case of multicoloured materials, more than one test may be necessary to cover all colours in the pattern.
