About This Item

Full Description

Heat loads created by refrigerating equipment in the process of extracting moisture from air at freezer temperatures are observed to be very large compared to the latent heat gain from which the moisture results and may be very large compared to all other segments of total refrigeration load. Authoritative data addressing all psychrometric circumstances that affect the moisture extraction are expected to be available soon. The new data are anticipated to make applied psychrometrics fully usable at freezer temperatures and to result, not only in reduced levels of equipment-related load, but in improved refrigerated-facility and refrigeration-system design as well.
