While industry standard definitions of acceptable limitsof energy model accuracy remain elusive, there arerenewed interests in improving the overall accuracy andreliability of the products of energy modeling tools -predictions. While recent advancements in open-sourceenergy modeling frameworks related to QualityAssurance and Quality Control provide users withpowerful and flexible means for automating theseactivities, key gaps remain. This paper will discussadvances in both Quality Assurance and Quality Control, provide examples of their use in current practice, andpropose a logic and framework that could support thebroad use of these techniques in everyday buildingenergy modeling practice.
