CARPENTER 7-Mo PLUS is a duplex stainless steel of austenite in a ferrite matrix. It is superior to 300 series stainless steels like types 304 and 316 in strength, corrosion, pitting and stress-corrosion cracking resistance (to chlorides). Typical applications are heat exchangers in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
