About This Item

Full Description

Standard 173 defines a practical method for verifying how a leak detector can properly detect small and very small leak flow rates of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), and perfluorocarbon (PFC) halogenated gases. Leak detection is necessary for all types of refrigerants and is part of the quality management of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

This is a reaffirmation of the 2012 edition of the standard.
