About This Item

Full Description

This code describes the procedure recommended for attaining the quality of deposit specified in AS K98. It is intended as an aid to platers and engineers who, although familiar with ordinary electro-plating pracice, including the decorative chromium plating, are confronted with new problems inherent in the electro-deposition of hard chromium plating for engineering use. It is intended not as a standard procedure but as a guide to the production of smooth, adherent deposits of hard chromium of desired thickness, with retention of the physical properties of the steel base.
