About This Item

Full Description

BS 240-1:1937 was formerly endorsed without amendment as AS B81-1941. The experience of laboratories performing Brinell testing indicated the need for clarification of some clauses by more precise wording, and for modification of certain requirmeents in the light of apparatus available for testing. The text of the British standard was, therefore, revised and the modified text is now published as an Australian standard. The Tables of BS 240-1:1937 are endorsed without change, and have not been reproduced in the AS publication.
