English Description: These standards cover the sanitary aspects of tanks in which bulk milk is stored on dairy farms. They do not pertain to storage tanks nor to silo type tanks for milk and milk products used in dairy processing plants nor do they pertain to farm milk cooling and holding tanks.

Spanish Description: Estas normas cubren los aspectos sanitarios de los tanques en los cuales se almacena la leche al por mayor en las granjas lecheras. Dichas normas no se aplican a tanques de almacenamiento o tanques tipo silo, para leche y productos lacteos, utilizados en las plantas de procesamiento, como tampoco se aplican a los tanques de enfriamiento y retencion de leche.
