About This Item
Full Description
Describes the test room controlled by a computer using a mathematical model of a vehicle passenger compartment or a room in house. The mathematical model comprises energy and vapour mass balance equations of the compartment air. The heat entering the compartment such as solar radiation, conduction through walls etc. is considered as heat load. The model was validated experimentally by in-car average temperature measurements on a cool-down test. Predicted results were in close agreement with experimental results. Describes the results of test which show that the transient behaviour of air conditioners can be predicted using this system.
KEYWORDS: Air conditioning, testing, calculating.
