Full Description

The work reported here is a continuation of earlier studies to determine the ability of air conditioning systems to remove pollutants. These tests have been made under controlled conditions of pollutant level and air flow. Earlier tests had been made in the field (RP 86) under conditions prevalent at the sites.

The establishment of this test facility and also a number of preliminary tests on particulates, sulfur dioxide and ozone were carried out during 1970-71 and reported in August 1971 (RP-112). The work since that time (RP-124) is the subject of this report, but where necessary for the sake of clarity, the material reported in the RP-112 report is also included herewith.
