Full Description

Specifies the Physical Layer Repeater Protocol (PHY- REP) for the upper sublayer of the FDDI Physical Layer. Specifies the PHY level entity of a repeater. This repeater will use existing PMD specifications. No changes to any of the FDDI documents (PMD [ANSI X3.166-1990], PHY [ANSI X3.148-1988], PHY-2 [ANSI X3.231-1994], MAC-2 [ANSI X3.239-1994], SMT [ANSI X3.229-1994], SMT-2, and HRC [ANSI X3.186-1992]) are expected.
