Revision Standard - Superseded. Superseded by 260.1-2004. General principles of letter symbol standardization are discussed. Symbols are given for general use and for use with limited character sets. The symbols given are intended for all applications, including use in text and equations; in graphs and diagrams; and on panels, labels, and nameplates.
