About This Item

Full Description

Hospitals differ from conventional buildings in terms of ventilation needs. Displacement ventilation performs much better than mixing ventilation in certain conditions and performs worse in others when considering control of exhaled substances. When the exposure to exhaled substances is not a major hygiene issue as in infection control, displacement ventilation may be an attractive solution for ventilation of non-critical rooms in hospitals.
