Full Description

The present document describes the characteristics of the Layer 1 multiplexing and channel coding used for family G of the satellite component of UMTS (S-UMTS-G).

It is based on the FDD mode of UTRA defined by TS 125 211 [4], TS 125 212 [5], TS 125 213 [6] and TS 125 214 [7] and adapted for operation over satellite transponders.
