Presents laboratory data and an analysis of selected alternative venting systems for oil-fired residential heating appliances. The research was conducted for the U.S. Department of Energy in venting technology for oil-fired heating appliances. Includes a brief discussion of the publication of a venting system guidelines document, the preparation of a vent system design program and the eventual generation and publication of vent design tables for oil-fired appliances.
