1. Scope

1.1

This Standard applies to flexible nonmetallic tubing and fittings in trade sizes 1/4 to 2 in (6.35 to 50.8 mm) for use as support and protection of insulated conductors in equipment intended for use in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, for nonhazardous locations.

1.2

Flexible nonmetallic tubing specified by this Standard is liquid tight, provided in a thermoplastic material that is recognized for use at a maximum working temperature of 60?C and a minimum working temperature of -18?C.

1.3

Tubing specified by this Standard is intended for use with fittings in compliance with Clauses 6.6 and/or 6.7, as applicable. The fittings may be for liquid-tight or dry locations.

1.4 This Standard does not include tubing used for the power supply from fixed wiring of structures to the utilization equipment.
