PAR-EXC is a medium-carbon low-alloy tool and die steel recommended for hubbing dies, punches, small die casting dies, hot work tools and other parts requiring moderate hardness and high toughness. This grade can be carburized to produce a wear resisting surface with a high strength, high toughness core.
