View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

Alloy 750 is an aluminum-tin-nickel-copper alloy used for bearings. This material is intended for, and has been used principally in the form of permanent mold castings, which by virtue of their rapid solidification are typified by a fine, dense, fatigue resistant structure. Solid aluminum bearings machined from permanent mold castings of this alloy have been used principally in the artificially aged -T5 temper for heavy-duty engine bearings. In this field 750 alloy has provided satisfactory performance under conditions of very high unit loading at medium speeds and temperatures.
