Full Description

This document has been withdrawn.

The purpose of this standard is to establish a method of testing propeller fans to measure the dynamic characteristics that are essential in the proper selection and application of such fans to minimize the potential for fatigue failure. This standard recommends procedures that will permit evaluation of the dynamic characteristics of propeller fan assemblies under conditions that are as close as possible to actual application conditions. This standard applies to propeller fans that are used in heating, ventilating, refrigerating, and air-conditioning equipment and that a) are constructed of built-up or of monolithic materials, b) may include a slinger ring or hub, or both, and c) are direct or belt driven.
