Full Description

This is a reaffirmation of ASHRAE Standard 28-1996. This standard was prepared under the auspices of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). It may be used, in whole or in part, by an association or government agency with due credit to ASHRAE. Adherence is strictly on a voluntary basis and merely in the interests of obtaining uniform standards throughout the industry.

Provides a uniform procedure for testing capillary tubes by determining the dry nitrogen flow capacity under specific test conditions so the procedures may serve as a primary standard for use by all test laboratories. Provides a basis for agreement between capillary tube manufacturers and users and provides a standard procedure against which all other methods of tests may be checked.
