Full Description

The City of Albuquerque has begun an innovative program to implement various sources of reuse water to supplement its drinking water supplies. Three reuse projects are underway. The first project uses industrial reuse water from three semiconductor industries. The second reuse project will use reclaimed wastewater from the City's Southside Water Reclamation Facility. To supplement the industrial recycling project, a non-potable surface water project will be implemented. All three of these projects will help the City optimize the use of reclaimed and non-potable water for appropriate uses and preserve the deep aquifer groundwater. This paper briefly describes each of these reuse projects.
