View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

COLMONOY No. 4 is a nickel-base alloy containing chromium boride. It is recommended for hard surfacing parts to resist wear, heat, corrosion and galling. Deposits, which have only moderate hardness (Rockwell C 35-40), can be machined with carbide tooling. Also, deposits have fairly good workability, ductility and impact strength. This alloy is supplied as crushed powder for application with Wall Colmonoy's SPRAYWELD* Process. Also, it is supplied as castings and as bare or coated rod for either oxyacetylene of DC electic-arc (reverse polarity) application.
