Full Description

In the past, thermodynamic cycle calculations for absorption systems have been performed by hand using state point property data from a graphical or tabulated source. By means of a digital computer, it is possible to perform similar calculations in considerably greater quantity, detail and accuracy. In order to accomplish this, however, it is necessary to express the equilibrium property data in equation form that can be easily stored and utilized by the computer. This data reduction procedure consumes many hours of an investigator's time before he can begin using a computer to perform useful analytical computations.

The purpose of this paper is to provide polynomial equations for the equilibrium property data of aqua-ammonia mixtures in a form readily adaptable to a computer program for use by future investigators.
