It describes the procedures necessary to properly construct quality asphalt pavement. New chapters have been added on Construction Project Management, Quality Control and Acceptance of Hot Mix Asphalt, and Segregation of Hot Mix Asphalt. Retained and updated are the chapters on Materials, Mix Design, Plant Operations, Placing Hot Mix Asphalt, and Compaction. There are several appendices.
