Full Description

The AWPA C Standards are no longer under development and have been replaced by AWPA Standards U1 and T1. U1 contains information for end users/specifiers, and T1 contains treating requirements for manufacturers

This Standard is to be used in conjunction with the AWPA Standards C1 All Timber Products- Preservative Treatment by Pressure Processes, C2 Lumber, Timbers, Bridge Ties and Mine Ties- Preservative Treatment by Pressure Processes, and M2 Standard for Inspection of Treated Timber Products. AWPA Standards C1, C2 and M2 are hereby made a part of this Standard.

Structural Composite Lumber (SCL) is a family of engineered wood products that combine wood fiber with exterior-type adhesives to form lumber products of virtually any cross-sectional size. The wood fiber may be in the form of veneers, strands, or a combination thereof, bonded together with wet-use structural adhesives. Materials which do not conform to the definitions below are beyond the scope of this standard.
