What is the "R" in the Document Number?
An "R" in a document number means that the standard was reaffirmed that year.
When a document is reaffirmed, the original document is still valid.
PAYMENT
All checks must be drawn on a US or Canadian bank in US funds and made payable to Thomson Scientific.
What are my choices to pay for my order?
Credit Card - This is a fastest way to process your order. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Use our secure online
ordering system and your order will be processed instantly. Delivery of your order will depend on the availability of your items.
An items availability is listed in its product record.
Invoice - Provided you have established credit with us, you can have your company invoiced for your
order total. Terms are net 30 days unless otherwise specified. A 2% finance charge is assessed on balances
more than 30 days overdue. To establish credit, download this
credit application and mail or fax the completed
form to us. Processing takes 7 to 10 days.
Offline Credit Card - You can order your products online, and choose to phone or fax in your credit card information. Your order
will not be shipped until your payment is received.
What are the rules for INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT?
All international orders must be prepaid (Canada excluded). Your items will not be shipped until payment is received.
If you are paying by check, be sure to include shipping charges in your total amount.

Are there additional costs for shipping large packages internationally?
The shipping fees quoted in the check out process for international orders are estimated.
For large or heavy shipments, you will be contacted if there will be an
extra charge above the amount as listed in the check out process.
How quickly can you send my package?
If you choose an expedited shipping method (next day or second day), you must make sure your item's availability is listed as 24 to 48
hours. If the availability is listed as 3 to 5 days, then it is impossible to ship it to you by the next day.
Why doesn't my tracking number work?
Customers are sent an email with a tracking number once their package has been shipped. This tracking number will not work until the
package has been processed at the local shipping center. This usually takes between 12-24 hours. If your tracking number does not
work, check back later.
ORDER STATUS & AVAILABILITY

My Account Page. You can only access these pages if you are logged in to your
account.
Documents that are pre-ordered in PDF format are not available for immediate download. If you pre-order a PDF, you will receive an email
with download instructions about the same time the printed edition is released.
PLEASE NOTE:
When you purchase a document in PDF format, your order confirmation email will contain instructions for downloading your file(s). You will have 72 hours from date of purchase to download PDF file(s) to your computer. After that time you can track orders and invoices on
My Account page but PDF downloads will be disabled due to document security.
RETURNS
All returns must be made within 21 days of shipment and must be pre-approved by Techstreet. All returns are subject to a 10%
restocking fee. Shipping charges cannot be refunded.
Software is non-refundable unless the program allows a trial period.
Purchases of downloadable documents, print+online products, CDs, Subscription services, database access, special order items, and age-dated materials are
final and
cannot be returned for refund or credit.

DOCUMENT FORMATS
What formats can I get my standards in?
A vast majority of our standards are available in printed format. Sometimes these are bound like a book, sometimes loose pages that you
can put in a binder.
Many of our standards are available in PDF (Portable Document Format), an electronic, downloadable format. You can download these files
directly from our site, and then print out a copy to read.
Adobe Acrobat Reader software is required to view PDF files on your computer. This is a free download from the Adobe website.
TECHSTREET TRACKER SERVICE
How do I use your tracking service?
To use the tracking service you must be logged in to your Techstreet account. Then just search
our site for the standards you want to track, and add them to your list using the blue "Add..." button.

You will find a link to your Tracking List in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, as long as you are logged in to your account.
You don't seem to track standards from the publisher I need. Why not?
We are constantly working with publishers to integrate new data into our systems as soon as it becomes available. If we don't currently
get reliable data for a certain publisher, we don't offer to track their standards. If you would like to request tracking for a
particular publisher, contact
techstreet.service@thomsonreuters.com.

How do I earn Techpoints?
Techpoints are earned for
online purchases placed while you are logged in to your account. You must be logged in to earn Techpoints.
I placed an order and I don't see my Techpoints. Where are they?
After you place an order, your Techpoints remain pending for 30 days. If you have not returned the item after 30 days, you will be awarded
your pending Techpoints.

What are "Secure PDFs"?
A Secure PDF file contains features that prevent reproduction or distribution to other users (in the same way that
you are prohibited from making copies of printed documents). This security simply enforces existing copyright laws.
What do I need to do to view a Secure PDF?
You need the Adobe Acrobat Reader you need the FileOpen plug-in.
This Adobe-approved plug-in is free and will self-install when you download it. It will not alter anything on
your computer.
FileOpen is compatible with the following versions of Acrobat:
- Windows: Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat 6.0 or later
- Mac: Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or later
- Linux: Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat 7.x or 8.x
- Solaris: Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or later

How can I test to make sure I can read a SecurePDF?

Click the button on the left to download the Secure PDF test document. If the PDF does not open, make sure you read and
follow the instructions above.

How do I download a Secure PDF?
The same way you download a normal PDF file. The only difference is, when you open the file on your computer,
the file will be "locked" to your machine. If you send the file to another user (or another machine), they
will not be able to view it. You will also not be able to make copies of the Secure PDF file.

Can I print a Secure PDF file?
Yes. You are permitted to make one single printed copy for your personal reference use.
Can I send a Secure PDF to someone else?
When you download a Secure PDF, the file should be stored on your own computer. If you need to transfer
the file to another user (e.g. to the end user, or to a colleague), you can do so legally through a special
area of our web site, but the file will no longer be viewable on your computer.
